Tangela Lofton currently serves as the SBDC at FAMU regional director, providing strategic direction and oversight of the Florida SBDC at FAMU’s operations in its eight-county region in the Florida Panhandle. She will provide regional managerial leadership in coordination with the priorities of the Florida SBDC Network and FAMU’s School of Business and Industry (SBI).
Lofton joins the Florida SBDC Network with a strong background in organizational management, strategic planning, entrepreneurship, business growth, and innovation. She previously served as the chief of staff at the Art District Real Estate, executive assistant at the FAMU School of Nursing, and management analyst in FAMU’s Finance & Administration Administrative Services Assistance Program (ASAP). Additionally, Lofton was recently awarded the 2024 Domi Innovation Award and successfully operates her small business in Tallahassee.
She holds a bachelor’s in criminal justice/political science from FAMU.
