The Big Bend region’s largest celebration of entrepreneurship is returning this spring. The 43rd Annual Big Bend Regional Small Business Week (BBRSBW) will take place May 5–7, 2026 at the AC Marriott Hotel in Tallahassee, Florida, bringing together entrepreneurs, innovators, and community leaders to learn, connect, and grow.

This year’s theme, “Together We Thrive: Pathways That Power Small Business Success,” highlights the collaborative spirit and strategic partnerships that help small businesses expand, innovate, and thrive in today’s economy.

Get to Know Our Keynote Speaker: Twyla Garrett

We’re excited to welcome Twyla Garrett — Entrepreneur | Visionary Developer | Global Strategist — as the 2026 keynote speaker for Big Bend Regional Small Business Week.

Twyla is a seasoned serial entrepreneur with more than 25 years of experience in federal contracting, real estate development, and organizational management. Known for her “built from grit” mindset, she has built and scaled multiple ventures while helping other entrepreneurs grow into high-impact enterprise partners.

Her entrepreneurial journey began in 1996 with a bookkeeping service, eventually leading her to found Investment Management Enterprise (IME) in 2000, a homeland security firm she successfully grew and sold in 2016. Her expertise has earned her invitations to the White House to discuss job creation and economic growth, and she has served as a spokesperson for initiatives such as Verizon Small Business Digital Ready.

Today, Twyla leads a global portfolio that includes Growth Management Services (GMS) and international real estate developments. She is also the bestselling author of Unshakeable Leadership and The Developer’s Playbook and a two-time recipient of the Enterprising Women of the Year Award.

During Big Bend Regional Small Business Week, Twyla will introduce her signature “IMPACT Ready” framework, designed to help small businesses strengthen operations, navigate rigorous vetting processes, and successfully compete for Fortune 500 and large enterprise contracts.
