Emery Parker serves as a Business Consultant at the Florida Small Business Development Center at Florida A&M University. Emery has over 29 years of experience in economic development, government auditing, and college level teaching in the areas of accounting and business management.

In her various capacities, Emery has served as a State Auditor, Business Consultant, Accountant, Economic Development Specialist and Financial Analyst. As an Adjunct Professor, Emery, taught Accounting Principles, Managerial Accounting, Cost Accounting, Principles of Marketing and Human Resources Management at various colleges and universities including Auburn University, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Southeast Community, Gainesville State College and Athens Technical College. At the University of Georgia, Emery worked as a Business Consultant with the Small Business Development Center.

Emery worked several years with the State of Nebraska as an Auditor. She served as an Economic Development Specialist and Financial Analyst for a non-profit corporation, East Athens Development Corporation. Before relocating to Tallahassee, Emery worked as the Accountant for Ebenezer Baptist Church, West. She joined the staff in February 2015.

Emery obtained her undergraduate degree in Business Management (BBA) and a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Delta State University, Cleveland, Mississippi and she holds a Masters of Professional Accountancy (MPA) from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, Nebraska.
